Modifications to Service
Before any construction is begun on an existing structure, you should apply for a permit if the work is likely to affect the sewer service to that structure. If a structure's sewer service lateral must be replaced because of deterioration of the line, a sewer permit must also be obtained before any construction is begun. In either case, the construction must be inspected by an Authority inspector.
Sewer Connection Permits must be obtained at the Authority’s business office during regular business hours. If you prefer, we can shorten your visit by having your permit ready for you. Just call ahead with the necessary information:
• Location of lot including Map/Block & Lot #
• Owner’s name, current mailing address, and phone
• Contractor’s name, address, and phone
In addition, a check for $50 (inspection fee) made payable to MAJSA is required before the permit can be issued.
